Karl E. Starkey

KARL E. STARKEY, age 41, of Joppa, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on December 27, 2004. Born in Aberdeen, he was the son of Elfriede Reuss Starkey of Joppa and the late John Edward Starkey. He struggled with a number of disabling illnesses all of his life. He graduated from Joppatowne High School in 1980. He assisted his mother in sales. He attended the Post Chapel in Edgewood. He enjoyed bowling, swimming, and loved to listen to Elton John.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Starkey is survived by one sister, Margaret Griffin of Edgewood. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two brothers, Eric J. Starkey and Gary R. Starkey.
