Karen Stearns Wiley

Karen Stearns Wiley, age 59, of Essex, Maryland passed away on December 24, 2022 at her home. Born in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Kazuko (Fukuchi) Stearns. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, shopping, Harry Potter, and loved taking care of all animals.

Karen is survived by her husband Jeoffrey Wiley, and daughter, Samantha Nicole Wiley. Her sisters, Nancy Jean Sprouse (Steven Sprouse) and Linda Sundberg (Kent Sundberg) both of Clarkesville, GA, and is also survived by her nephew Derek Sundberg and niece Adena Meninger.

Karen was a very loving soul, who helped whatever she could. Always welcomed her home to any animal, (domestic or wild), or friend that Sam has ever brought to the house. She made them a part of the family and took them in as if they were her own children. She always made them feel safe and secure. She always went above and beyond when it came to the things she cared about.
