Karen Marie Sampson, age 60, of Bel Air, MD passed away on June 5, 2017 at her home. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of William Anthony and Jean (Heffernan) Clemons. She had retired from St. Joan of Arc Catholic School in 2015 as the technology teacher and was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling to the Smoky Mountains, visiting the wineries in the Finger Lakes, reading books by the dozen, but her grandkids were her favorite hobby. She was lovingly referred to as "Mits".
Mrs. Sampson is survived by her husband of 40 years come August 19, Gregory J. Sampson; sons, Christopher Sampson of Columbus, OH, Jonathan Sampson (Lesley) of Forest Hill, Andrew Sampson (Stephanie) and Alexander Sampson all of Bel Air; grandchildren, Matthew Sampson, Carter Sampson and Emma Sampson; and siblings, Kathy Dickey of Tonawanda, NY, Susan LaHood of York, PA and Michael Clemons of York, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Clemons.
