JR. OSBORNE, age 75, of Bel Air, died at Lorien Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on March 25, 2005. Born on September 1, 1929 in the coal mine area of West Virginia. He was the son of the late Josie Mae Osborne and Virgil Jr. Osborne.
Mr. Osborne grew up in Albert, West Virginia and later moved to Sparta, North Carolina. He came to Maryland when he was around 25 years old. He met his wife, Georgia in July of 1954 and they married on September 3rd, Labor Day weekend. He worked for the County and later was employed at Bata Shoe Company for 34 and one half years before his retirement.
Many years ago, he joined the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Forest Hill. He was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and later received the gift of the Holy Ghost in accordance with the Book of Acts, Chapter 2. Before his illness, he attended Sunday School and worshiped God at the Apostolic Church.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and watching Disney movies.
Mr. Osborne is survived by his wife of 50 years, Georgia Cullum Osborne; a son, Sonny Osborne of Bel Air; two daughters, Teresa Miles and her husband Sam Miles of Bel Air and Tammy Davis and her husband, Billy Davis, of Abingdon; six grandchildren; eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives, neighbors, and friends.
Pallbearers were: Antwoin Williams, Russell Williams, Troy Shatley, Mark Nogle, Samuel Miles, and Billy Miles.
