Junior B. Horne

Junior B. Horne, age 79, of Perryman, MD passed away quietly at home with his wife on November 23, 2011. Born in Shouns, TN, he was the son of the late John and Mollie Horne of Mountain City, TN. He retired in 1998 from Price Brothers as plant superintendent after working 43 years.

He was a member of Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Department. He was instrumental in negotiating the land donation where the substation in Perryman exists today. He enjoyed gardening and loved his flower gardens.

Mr. Horne is survived by his wife Wanda of 56 years; four children, Steven and wife Vickie, Sandra Osborn and companion Kenny Cox, John and wife, Pam, and Donna Burdette. Loving grandfather to Jack Mischke Jr., Douglas and Jessica Horne, and Jacob Burdette. Junior is survived by one brother, David and Myrtle Horne of State Road, NC; three sisters, Mary Smawly of Morganton, NC, Francis and Jay Baynard of Morganton, NC, and Carolyn and RC Woods of Mountain City, TN.
