Jung Hui O'Brien, age 69, of Middle River, Maryland, passed away on April 13, 2024. Born in South Korea, Jung embarked on a journey that spanned continents, enriching the lives of those she encountered along the way. In 1980, she planted roots in the United States, where she embraced a new chapter of her life with courage and grace.
A devoted wife, Jung was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael O'Brien. Together, they shared a bond built on love and companionship, leaving a legacy of warmth and devotion.
Jung was a faithful Deacon of Emmanuel Full Gospel Church in Aberdeen, where her spirit found solace in prayer and fellowship. Her unwavering faith illuminated the lives of those around her, serving as a beacon of hope and inspiration.
Professionally, Jung worked in several different roles throughout the years, but ultimately dedicated most of her time to being a loving and devoted mother. Beyond her professional pursuits, Jung found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She spent countless hours immersed in the pages of the Bible, drawing strength and wisdom from its timeless teachings. An accomplished pianist, she found solace in music, her melodies resonating with the harmony of her soul.
Jung's legacy lives on through her daughters, Mary Elizabeth (Justin Klein) O’Brien, and Shannon Ann O'Brien, who inherit her spirit of resilience and love. She is also survived by her sisters, Suk and Sun, and her brother, Jay, who cherish the memories of a lifetime spent together.
Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery.
