June P. Swann

June P. Swann, age 89, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on January 28, 2020 at My Home Away from Home in Abingdon, Maryland. June was born in Berwind, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Clay and Georgia (Kincaid) Poe. June was windowed early in life, her husband Robert Swann passed in 1966.

June had a very active and full life. She enjoyed working with children, teaching at Trinity Lutheran Church. In her earlier life she was also very active with Bel Air United Methodist Church, she was a volunteer in many projects. She was also a teacher for the younger children.

June had a passion for reading and learning. She had a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and an Associate in Arts from Baltimore Community College. This is also where she worked and retired as a payroll administrator.

Her passion for reading also led her to volunteer at her local Library. June enjoyed her flower gardens; her home was surrounded by intricate garden paths winding around the lovey gardens she created. She loved all animals. Always surround by a dog or two or three, and her cats, pooh and Tigger.

June is survived by her son, Steven Swann and dear friends, Valerie and David Wilson.
