June Doris Moeller, age 92, of Edgewood, Maryland, passed away on March 22, 2024, peacefully at her home. June was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the cherished daughter of Alfred Frederick Shvanda and Helen (Bish) Shvanda. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis H. Moeller, with whom she shared 62 beautiful years of marriage until his passing in 2016.
June had a zest for life and cherished every moment with her family. She and Louis shared a passion for adventure, often embarking on road trips to amusement parks, especially Disney, and exploring Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where they enjoyed visiting zoos and other attractions. June also found joy in exploring Amish country in Pennsylvania and Williamsburg VA and attending craft shows and fairs. She was a talented decorator, flower gardener, and cook, renowned for her delicious mashed potatoes and dressing. Thanksgiving was a cherished time for June, as she delighted in gathering with her family to share love and laughter.
June's greatest joy came from being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved hosting gatherings and creating cherished memories with her loved ones.
June is survived by her loving daughters, Sharon L. Oakley and Linda J. Kurrle; Sharon's partner Nick Serafini; Linda's fiancé Jeff Karukas; grandchildren, Troy Oakley, Nicole (Rob) Shank, Amber Kurrle, and Ryan (Jordan) Kurrle; and two great-grandchildren, Leah Shank and Lincoln Shank. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra L. Moeller.
June will be dearly missed but forever remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
The family will be having a private memorial.
