Julie Barletta, age 39, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on February 2, 2017 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Philip T. and Susan K. (Brenizer) Barletta of Harrisburg, PA. She was a graduate of Central Dauphin East High School in Harrisburg, PA, Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and University of Notre Dame of Maryland. She taught Spanish at Edgewood High School for 14 years prior to working at Kenwood High School in Baltimore. She was an avid reader and a member of Churchville Presbyterian Church, where she had previously served as a deacon and on the fellowship committee. She was also a member of the National Education Association (NEA).
Ms. Barletta is survived by her fiancé, Geoffrey A. Brinck of Abingdon; two uncles, Jack (Diana) Brenizer, Jr. of Port Matilda, PA and Benjamin (Lisa) Barletta of Hummelstown, PA; cousins, Jon, Joan and Victoria Brenizer of Oklahoma City, OK; and Otis the cat.
