Julia Elizabeth Vanrossum

Julia Elizabeth VanRossum, age 82, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on January 22, 2014 at her home. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Jim Berardino and Christina Guerrasio Berardino and wife of the late John VanRossum Sr. She had worked as a nursing aide and liked crocheting, coin collecting and yard sales. She also enjoyed cats, wildlife, seafood and being outside. She loved watching westerns on television, especially John Wayne. Her life was lived through her kids and grandchildren.

Ms. VanRossum is survived by her son, John E. VanRossum Jr. of Abingdon; daughters, Leona VanRossum of Abingdon, Cynthia Carroll of Harford County and Joanna Proctor of Joppa; grandchildren, H. Allen Dail, Joshua Dail, Aayla VanRossum and Shawn Carroll and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph and George Berardino, Marie Betz and Genieve Spagnola; and grandchildren, Jared Church and Alisha Dail.
