JUDY SAGE, age 63, of Bel Air, after a long dignified battle with cancer, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on May 17, 2006. Born in Forest Hill, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Leslie, Sr. and Clara Mae Scarborough Epperley of Poplar Grove, MD and the wife of the late Robert Ray Sage. She retired from the Federal Government in 1998 after 37 years of service where she was a logistics management specialist in the US Army Chemical and Biological Defense Command and where she was decorated with several commendations and awards throughout her career. She was a lifelong resident of Harford County, was involved with Pets on Wheels and was an avid reader belonging to several book clubs.
Mrs. Sage is survived by two sons, Randy Sage and his wife, Donna, of Pylesville, MD and JD Sage and his wife, Shanelle, of Dublin, MD; three brothers, Frank L. Epperley of Lake Placid, FL, Larry R. Epperley of Darlington, MD, and Ron W. Epperley of Bel Air, MD; two sisters, Clara L. Eller of Aberdeen, MD and Dorothy A. Levell of Orlando, FL; and three grandchildren, Brandi R. Sturgill and her husband, Josh, of Pylesville, MD, James Russell Sage of Pylesville, MD, and Sara K. Sage of Dublin, MD.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Sage is predeceased by a brother, Ernest L. Epperley and a sister, Patricia Davis.
