Judy Mae Newsome, age 75, passed away on October 19, 2022 at home in Street, Maryland. Born in York, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Amy (Gentzler) Bolyard and wife of Richard Newsome Sr. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Jarrettsville, MD, for over fifty years. She and her husband were also members of Harley Owners Group (H. O. G.), the Chesapeake Chapter. Judy loved motorcycles and riding with her husband or motorcycle group. She was a wonderful seamstress, had a passion for animals, and loved anything to do with being outside. She enjoyed being out in the sunshine whether she was in her garden, in her pool, or splitting wood. Judy loved supporting her church and did so through various activities and joining the church choir.
Judy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Lawrence Newsome Sr.; two daughters, Lynda Lavera Newsome-Buck and husband David, Lavera Marie Lear and husband Barry; son, Richard Lawrence Newsome, Jr.; son-in-law, Lonnie Dishon; brother-in-law, James Maxwell Newsome; nine grandchildren, Mark, Brittany, Allen, Ashley, Alicia, Kevin, Tyler, Amber, and Savannah; three step-grandchildren, Brad, Ryan, and Kyle; five great grandchildren, Jace, Taylor, Skylar, Asher, and Colton; and three step-great grandchildren, Christopher, Sofia, and Silas. She is also survived by Wes Ruthloff, who was like a son to her.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lois Marie Dishon.
