Judie Behrens

Judie Behrens, age 72, of Forest Hill, MD, passed away on October 28, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Oxford, IA, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Clara Volk Kapfer. She retired, after 15 years, from Franklin Square Hospital where she was a registered nurse. A member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. An avid sports fan, she served as an official for basketball and field hockey for BBOWS. She also enjoyed camping through the winter in Florida.

Mrs. Behrens is survived by her husband of 52 years, William H. Behrens of Forest Hill, MD; sons, Michael W. Behrens Sr. and wife, Penny, of Forest Hill, MD, Mark D. Behrens and wife, Tina Proveaux of Baltimore, MD and Matthew A. Behrens of Forest Hill, MD; brothers, Thomas Kapfer of Chicago, IL and Peter Kapfer of Cedar Rapids, IA; sister, Mary Ellen Marks of Cedar Rapids, IA and three grandchildren, Amanda, Michael and Alex Behrens.
