Juanita Durman Homer, age 89, of Churchville, MD, passed away on November 22, 2012 at her home. Born in Bel Air, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Harvey and Sarah Margaret Fox Durman and wife of the late Arthur "Dick" Homer. She attended Greenwood Elementary School in Fulford and was a 1940 graduate of Bel Air High School. She retired after 30 years from Aberdeen Proving Ground Army Ordnance School where she was an Editorial Supervisor. A member of Churchville Golden Agers and Smiths Chapel United Methodist Church, she enjoyed traveling and camping.
Mrs. Homer is survived by her sons, James R. Homer and Gary G. Homer both of Aberdeen, MD; daughters, Saundra L. Shue of Churchville, MD, Margaret J. Shue and husband, Paul, of Ft. Myers, FL, Joyce A. O'Neill and husband, Frank, of North East, MD and Linda J. Martindale of Churchville, MD; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Arthur Mike Homer; son-in-law, Ronald Shue; and grandson, Paul "Butch" A. Shue.
Pallbearers will be Raymond C. Shue, Mark A. Martindale, Daron L. Martinez, Clifton Nyquist, Robert Shaffer and Kevin Anderson.
