Juan Carvajal, age 90, of Fallston, MD passed away on January 25, 2013 at his home. Born in El Caney, Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, he was the son of the late Francisco and Mercedes Hernandez Carvajal. Juan came to the U.S. in 1968 and lived in Baltimore, MD for a time where he worked for Charcoal Hearth, then moved to New Jersey where he worked as a floor manager for Evan Picone Clothiers until his retirement in 1990. He was known as a great story teller, enjoyed playing dominoes, baseball, boxing and even doing laundry. He loved giving those he loved his guidance and regarded his family as the most important thing in his life.
Mr. Carvajal is survived by his wife, Juanna "Lulu" Carvajal of Fallston, MD; son, Pedro Carvajal and wife, Dania of Miami, FL; daughters, Mercedes Shinsky and husband, Mark of Jarrettsville and Lourdes Z. Keiser and husband, Randy of Fallston; brother, Diosdado Carvajal and wife, Maria of Miami; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mark Shinsky, John Shinsky, Steven Shinsky, Rob Vacek, Mathieu Lewis, David Kittle and Melvin John.
