Joyce Spies

Joyce Spies, age 61, of Joppa, MD passed away on February 7, 2014 at Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, MD she was the daughter of Violet Jane Stanley Spies of Aberdeen and the late William James Spies. A graduate of Aberdeen High School, she worked as a secretary at Edgewood Arsenal for over 20 years. She loved and adored her grandchildren and was very family oriented. She liked to watch the Ravens games, play guitar and piano, and loved her dogs, Coco and Sugar.

In addition to her mother, Ms. Spies is survived by her daughter, Angela J. Spies of Joppa; brother, Ronald Spies of Live Oak, FL; sister, Cynthia Alley of Forest Hill; and grandchildren, Kameron, Makayla and Ethan. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Gary Spies.
