Joyce M. Hooker

Joyce M. Hooker, age 68, of Darlington, MD passed away on March 19, 2016 at her home. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late Raby James and Elsie Stella (Smith) Bratton.

Joyce enjoyed baking and cooking. Everyone looked forward to her cooking. She enjoyed gardening with flowers and fruits and vegetables. She loved to be outside and keeping busy. She collected bells and angels. She loved her family. Joyce was selfless. She was always putting everyone before herself. She liked to make everyone laugh. She will be missed for all the love, laughter, and support she gave to her family.

Mrs. Hooker is survived by her husband, Norman B. Hooker Sr. to whom she was married 46 ½ years and Mr. Hooker wishes it had been a lot longer; daughter, Diane L. Hooker of Darlington; son, Norman Hooker Jr. of Darlington; brother, Gerald Bratton; sisters, Betty Kirk and Ruby Gaddis; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Donna L. Hooker; brothers, Clinton, Ralph, Bobby and James Bratton; and sister, Peggy Parsons.
