Joyce Ann Marie Johnson

Joyce AnnMarie Johnson, affectionately known as Joy, was born in Trinidad on June 22, 1954. She was the fifth of six children and the only daughter born to Anthony and Bernice (Pleasure) Johnson. Joyce passed away on August 11, 2024, at The Henderson House in Belair.

She received her early education at Tabaquite RC School. In 1970, Joyce, along with her family, migrated to New York, where she resided until relocating to Maryland in the early 1980s. Joyce possessed a profound passion for shopping, listening to the radio, and baking, whenever she was able. She also cherished the time spent with her family.

Joyce lived independently until 2022, when she moved to Henderson Home. She was preceded in death by her parents and her elder brother, Rudolph Johnson. She is survived by her brothers, Cyril (Bernadette) Johnson of Edgewood, MD; Randolph (Jennifer) Johnson of Atlanta, GA; Bernard (Arlene) Johnson of Abingdon, MD; and Horace (Cheryl) Johnson of Brooklyn, NY, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

 Joyce maintained a steadfast faith in God.
