Joyce E. Thomas

Joyce E. Thomas, age 56, of Bel Air, MD, passed on November 10, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Dorothy Mae Beasley Thomas of Bel Air, MD and the late Clifton William Thomas Sr. She retired, after more than 25 years of service, from Black & Decker where she was an executive assistant to the vice president. A member of New Hope Baptist Church in Bel Air, she was an avid reader, and loved to decorate and organize. She loved her two dogs, Nuggett and Sunny, and loved spending time with her family and friends. She always stood out in a crowd with her laughter and crooked smile.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Kevin D. Thomas and his wife, Aicha, of Laurel, MD; brothers, Clifton William Thomas Jr. of Bel Air, MD, Larry E. Thomas of Tuscon, AZ, and Aaron D. Thomas of Oxford, PA; sisters, Sharon A. Stansbury and Maria E. Everett, both of Bel Air, MD; and grandchildren, Kavonn D. and Kennedi D. Thomas. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
