Joshua M. Eisner "J Rock" passed away suddenly on June 1, 2012 at the age of 14. Josh was an incredibly gifted musician who self taught himself drums and acoustical/electric guitar. Josh had a love for music that exceeded everything else in his life. Josh's passions included rock concerts and being the drummer for the Gettysburg Civil War re-enactment as part of the 2nd South Carolina Confederate Battalion. Josh had an expert level of knowledge on American History as it related to the Civil War. Josh was also an actor at the annual Legends of the Fog Halloween attraction, as Halloween was his favorite holiday. Josh attended Fallston Middle School where he had many lifelong friends. Josh loved football and was a fan of the N.Y. Giants.
Josh had lived a full life in his 14 years. He starred in the national television show "The Simple Life" at the age of 6 with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie where he stole the heart of Ms. Hilton and became friends with her after the show. He enjoyed his first rock concert at the age of 7, where he watched KISS and instantly became hooked on becoming a rock star. Josh's passion for music excelled and he was so gifted with the ability to listen and learn. He later enjoyed meeting some of his Rock and Roll idols over the years including Motley Crue, where Nikki Sixx gave him a guitar and Tommy Lee gave him a set of drum sticks, Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater, Skid Row and Def Leppard. He was a regular with the Youth's Benefit Elementary school concert hosted by Mark Wood of the Trans Siberian Orchestra where Josh played percussion. He became friends with Ace Von Johnson of Faster Pussycat, Chris Hamilton and John Eville of St. Caine and his favorite and most loved musician Shannon Larkin, the drummer for Godsmack. Josh never missed a show with Shannon and was given an entire set of symbols from Shannon to help Josh further his musical talent. A memorial page has been placed on Godsmack.com about Josh and his Godsmack Band Brothers.
