Josephine Phoebie Dorsey

Josephine Phoebie (Young) Dorsey, of Copperas Cove, Texas, died on May 4, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. She was 84.

The daughter of Arch and Mittie Young, she was born in Henderson, Texas. She was a longtime member of Robertson Avenue Baptist Church of Copperas Cove, Texas. She moved to Abingdon in 2004. Most recently, she was a resident of Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Robert Milford Dorsey and by five brothers and two sisters.

Josephine is survived by her children, Robert Dorsey and his wife, Carolyn, of Abingdon; Ronald Dorsey and his wife, Judy, of Newport News, VA; and Becky Cook and her husband, Phil, of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Helen Tillison of Livingston, Texas; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
