JOSEPHINE “JOSIE” M. JONSKE, age 98, of Baltimore, MD, formerly of Perry Hall, MD, died on May 17, 2007, at her son’s home. Born on November 2, 1908, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Angelina Cullotta Glorioso and was the wife of the late Eric E. Jonske. She was a sales person at Hoschild Kohn Department Store. She volunteered at Oak Crest Village and started the Memory Lane Singers group. She was a member of the Italian Club at Oak Crest and the Sons of Italy. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and Boy Scout leader for Troop 419 in Overlea and was a A.R.C swimming instructor for many years at the YMCA. She was a past member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Overlea, MD, and was a member of the Senior Citizens Center at Seven Oaks in Perry Hall. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for many years, but when she moved to Oak Crest Village, she attended church there.
Mrs. Jonske is survived by a son, Louis J. Jonske, Sr., and his wife, Anna M. Jonske, of Joppa, MD; three sisters, Rose Maranto and Connie Hornick, both of Oak Crest Village, and Lucille Taft of Dundalk, MD; four grandchildren, Lou-Ann Jonske Gubosh of Evans, GA, Louis J. Jonske, Jr., of Annapolis, MD, Walter E. Jonske of Appling, GA, and Cheryl A. Renshaw of Pasadena, MD; and six great grandchildren, Michael Gubosh, Brittany Gubosh, and Lauren Gubosh, all of Evans, GA, Hunter Jonske and Wyatt Jonske, both of Appling, GA, and Louis J. Jonske III of Annapolis, MD.
