Josephine "Jo" V. Collier (nee Sigler) age 97, of Joppa, MD passed away on January 1, 2012 at her home. Born in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Franklin and Eva Olvetta Harbaugh Sigler and wife of the late Charles Gilbert Collier. She was a graduate of Western High School, as well as, Strayer Business School where she received a degree in Business and had worked many years as a secretary. She also attended Baltimore School of the Bible and taught Sunday School and Bible Studies at several churches in Harford County where she attended. She volunteered, for 12 years, at Fallston Hospital and Upper Chesapeake Medical Center; was past president of Fallston Hospital Auxiliary; and was also active in Meals on Wheels. She liked to play cards, which she taught to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Collier is survived by her children, Patricia A. Eiler and husband, Andrew, of Joppa, MD, Charles Gilbert Collier II and wife, Joan, of DuBois, WY, and Donna C. Vignola and husband, Jerry of Bel Air, MD; sister, Bernadine Lucas of Baltimore, MD; eight grandchildren, Melissa Eiler Mallory, Robin Eiler Iacovelli, Andrew Eiler Jr., Matthew Collier, Whitney Collier Hayes, Christina Vignola Dougherty, Jay Vignola, and Alison Vignola; 12 great-grandchildren, Traci Mallory Golumbek, Erin Mallory, Brady Morton, Michael, Evan and Alexandra Eiler, Jonah Collier, Madelynn, Autumn, and Garrett Dougherty, Tre' and Ady Hayes; great-great-grandchild, Olivia Golumbek; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Mildred Daugherty and Frances Schlosser.
