JOSEPHINE GLASSMAN ADAMS, age 80, of Bel Air, MD, died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Dorchester General Hospital, Cambridge, MD. Born in Churchville, MD on January 19, 1926, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman E. Adams Sr., who died on November 25, 1955, leaving her to raise three young children. Mrs. Adams was a devoted and loving mother who provided unselfishly for her children. Her children attribute their accomplishments in life due to the many values that she instilled during their childhood. Mrs. Adams worked as a dedicated employee for the Federal Government at Edgewood Arsenal and Aberdeen Proving Ground for 37 years. She retired in September 1987, holding the prestigious position as Secretary to the Commanding General of the U. S. Army Ordnance Center and School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bel Air.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her three loving children and family, Lois Adams Testerman and her husband Gerald of Church Creek, MD, Herman E. Adams Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Delta, PA and Ronald J. Adams and his wife, Beverly of Bel Air, MD; grandchildren, Kelly Testerman Jackson and husband Paul of Cambridge, MD, Brian Adams of Perry Hall, MD, Todd Adams of Bel Air, MD and Allison Adams of Bel Air, MD; and great-grandchildren, Kyle and Emily Jackson of Cambridge, MD.
Pallbearers will be Todd Adams, Brian Adams, Paul Jackson and Gregory Fantom.
