Josephine A. Smith

JOSEPHINE A. SMITH, 81, of Bel Air, died at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bel Air on December 19, 2003. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Barbara Hoffinagle Cicero and the wife of the late Eugene F. Smith. A resident of Ocean City for 20 years, she was an active member of the Ocean City Art League. She painted in oils and watercolors. She raised her family in Parkville and was active in the American Legion, Parkville Post #183. She served her country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. She graduated from Yeoman School in Milledgeville, Georgia and served in the Hydrographic Distributing Office in Baltimore.

Mrs. Smith is survived by one son, Dennis E. Smith of Berlin, MD; two daughters, Barbara J. Fiore of Bel Air, MD; Sharon S. Waters of Lutherville, MD; one brother, Leonard Cicero of Parkville, MD; one sister, Annette Cicero of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
