Joseph Wilson Doran Jr.

Joseph Wilson Doran, Jr., 68, of Abingdon, MD, died July 10, 2016 at home. He was born in Baltimore, MD on October 13, 1947 to the late Joseph Wilson Doran, Sr and Doris Mary Reifsnyder Doran. He graduated from Bel Air High School in 1965 and received a Bachelors of Science from Towson State College in 1971. He married Joyce Ann Voglino in December 1981 and they have lived in Harford County for the last 34 years. Joe retired from Verizon in 2002 after 34 years as an Engineer Assistant. After his retirement he was a substitute teacher at Harford Technical High School and a tutor at Sylvan Learning Centers. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Fallston, MD.

Joe is survived by his sister, Patricia Doran-Newton of Frankford, DE; brother, Robert K. Doran and wife, Eileen, of Wilmington, NC; daughters, Susan M. Schulz and husband, Robert, of Havre de Grace and Amy Doran of Edgewood; son, Joseph W. Doran, III and wife, Jaime, of Cary, NC. Along with seven grandchildren, Robert, Benjamin, Desmond, Addison, Carly, Evan and Gabriel.
