Joseph M. Lewis

Joseph M. Lewis, age 89, of Fallston, MD, died on February 6, 2009 at his home. Born in Macclesfield, NC, he was the son of the late Fred and Hattie Louise Owens Lewis. A decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during WWII. He had been employed at Bethlehem Steel where he retired after 35 years. An avid fisherman and hunter, he was also a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Fallston, MD.

Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Louise Rippeon Lewis of Fallston, MD; sons, Joseph "Wayne" Lewis of Bel Air, MD and Michael S. Lewis of Belcamp, MD; daughter, Cindy L. Huth of Towson, MD; sister, Margaret Ensor of Dunedin, FL; and nine grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Terry L. Lewis.

Pallbearers were Kevin Lewis, Brian Lewis, Joseph Lewis, Christopher Langdon, Michael Lewis, and Jerry Trescott.
