Joseph F. Shopulski, III (Joe) passed away on November 22, 2019 at Lorien Bel Air in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Joseph Shopulski Jr. and Sara (Gruber) Shopulski. He received a B.S. degree from Towson State University and a M.S. from Loyola University of Maryland. Mr. Shopulski worked for the State of Maryland as a counselor in the early part of his career and did work at Kennedy Krieger testing and evaluating autistic children. The last 20 years of Mr. Shopulski’s career were spent with the Community Colleges of Baltimore County as an administrator in their continuing education department. He retired in 2003.
Mr. Shopulski was a dedicated runner in his early years before he began his long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and he loved to travel and hike, with a special love for the southwest. He was an avid reader, a member of MENSA with a dedication to learning new things throughout his life and enjoyed attending drag races and car shows and doing all things mechanical. He had a unique sense of humor that never wavered no matter his circumstances.
Joe is survived by his wife, Donna Shopulski; brothers-in-law, Myron (Joan) Campbell and Jeff (Betsy) Campbell; nieces, Crystal (Chris) Burton, Elizabeth (Chad) Griffith, Amy (Ricardo) Rodriguez, Katy (Mark) Byers, Rachel Campbell, and Rebecca Campbell; nephews James Campbell (Alison) and Micah Campbell and by other loving family and friends.
