Joseph Anthony Dellecese, Sr.

Joseph Anthony Dellecese Sr, age 73, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on March 15, 2017 at the St. Francis Hospital in Delaware after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Erie, PA, he was the son of Anthony Charles and Rose (Gigliotti) Dellecese. He attended Erie Technical High School and worked as a distribution manager for Becton Dickinson. He attended Mountain Christian Church in Joppa and was very much a family man. He enjoyed baking for everybody, especially baking bagels. He loved and embraced his Italian heritage.

Mr. Dellecese is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carole (Edwards) Dellecese; children, Clarice (Dellecese) Taylor and husband Robert, Joseph Anthony Dellecese Jr. and wife, Beverly (Maxfield), Cara (Dellecese) Vorhies and husband, Al and Christy (Dellecese) Berndt and husband, Aaron; two sisters, Barbara (Dellecese) Smith and Deborah (Dellecese) Dominick; three grandchildren, Alex, Sarah and Logan; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Logan Dellecese, Aaron Berndt, Michael Wilbur, David Wilbur, Matthew Wilbur, Steven La Rose, Robert Taylor and Joseph Kankosky.
