Josalyn Slaughter Gregory

Josalyn Slaughter Gregory, age 64, of Abingdon, MD passed away on January 26, 2019 at her home. Born in Lebanon, IL, she was the daughter of the late Robert Slaughter and Idella Kennedy Slaughter. Josalyn has enjoyed a distinguished and rewarding career across multiple industries with senior-level positions in the government as well as private and non-profit sectors. She was a seasoned executive administrative professional with more than 30 years’ experience. Josalyn most recently served as the Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union (APGFCU). She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her two-year-old grandson, hosting family and friends at her home, traveling, serving at her church, and sharing the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In addition to her husband, Edward Gregory Jr., Josalyn is survived by her two sons, Edward Clarance Gregory, III and Michael Clifford Gregory of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Maria Wright of Charlotte, NC; a grandson, Chandler DeShawn Gregory of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Edwina F. Long of Belton, MO and Robbie L. Slaughter of Augusta, GA; two brothers, Kerry Slaughter of Lebanon, IL and Dennis (Betty) Slaughter of Bolingbrook, IL; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church located at 520 Lewis Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078 where she served in her honor.
