José R. Gracia, M.D.

José R. Gracia, M.D., age 75, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully in his sleep and at his home on Sunday 21 January 2018. Dr. Gracia was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to José G. Gracia Anselmi and Carmen E. Culpeper (Gracia). He was then educated in Puerto Rico until he came to Baltimore (MD) to attend the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Gracia graduated from that medical school in 1967, subsequently completed his internship / residency requirements and ultimately practiced his specialty of Radiology for approximately forty years prior to his 2007 retirement. He was a founding partner of Diagnostic Radiology, partner in American Radiology, long-time Chief of Radiology at the former Fallston (MD) General Hospital and dedicated golf member of The Maryland Golf and Country Clubs in Bel Air (MD) for more than forty years.

Dr. Gracia is survived by his beloved wife of almost fifty-three years, Nancy (Mades) Gracia, and his adoring daughter, M. Pilar Gracia.

Dr. Gracia was preceded in death by his parents as well as his younger brother and fellow physician Samuel I. Gracia, M.D.
