Jonathan “Jon” W. Jones, age 25, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on April 30, 2022. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, he was the son of Robert and Karla (Freeman) Jones. A true ‘Army Brat’, Jonathan lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina (Fort Bragg); Newport, Rhode Island (US Navy War College); Waldorf, Maryland (Pentagon); Anniston, AL (Anniston Army Depot); Dugway, Utah (Dugway Proving Ground) and Aberdeen, MD (Aberdeen Proving Ground) collecting friends along the way. While attending Aberdeen High School (Aberdeen, MD), Jonathan developed a love of STEM courses and excelled in Soccer, Lacrosse, Cross Country running and Wrestling. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing with friends and family, refereeing and mentoring in youth soccer programs, and he loved to taunt his sister and brother! While completing his degree in Computer Science at Elizabethtown College (Elizabethtown, PA), Jonathan participated in Parkour, the Elizabethtown Cheer team, and played lacrosse as a Senior walk-on. He loved watching movies and playing games with friends and family.
Jonathan was loved by many, and his quiet presence was embraced by all who knew him.
