Johnny Dean Alderson, age 69, of Bel Air, MD, died on August 28, 2011 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Kannapolis, NC, he was the son of the late John Bennett and Sarah Kathleen McGinnis Alderson. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was employed as a special police officer for the State of Maryland and had worked at both St. Agnes Hospital and Rouse Company in security. A member of Shelbourne Baptist Church in Arbutus, MD, he enjoyed reading, sports, wildlife, and old muscle cars.
Mr. Alderson is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Thompson Alderson of Bel Air, MD; son, Thomas D. Alderson of Bel Air, MD; daughters, Kathleen Baker of Bel Air, MD, Patricia Woo of Glen Burnie, MD, Terry Butcher of Greencastle, PA, and Jamie Schulz of Bel Air, MD; brothers, Barry L. Alderson of Dundalk, MD, Donald Alderson of Chase, MD, and Jerry Alderson of Warner Robbins, GA; sisters, Patricia Miller of San Angelo, TX, Vickie Wisner of Baltimore, MD, and Linda Munzner of Pasadena, MD; grandchildren, Danielle Baker of Bel Air, MD, Joshua and Witney Monahan of Gettsyburg, PA, Joshua Butcher of Greencastle, PA, Ashley and Tyler Alderson of Arbutus, MD and Kaitlyn Schulz of Bel Air, MD; and great-grandson, Brandon Teague of Bel Air, MD.
