Johnnie Robert Fluitt

Johnnie Robert Fluitt, age 72, of Havre de Grace, MD passed away at his home on December 15, 2012. Born in Wildwood, FL he was the son of the late Johnnie Fluitt and Ruth May Shamboger Kimble. He graduated from public school and served 20 years in the U.S. Army as an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor. Moving to Harford County in 1981 he worked as a Tactical Operations Vehicle Maintenance Instructor at the Ordinance Center and School for 25 years before retiring. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, fixing things at home, cooking and trying new gastronomic delicacies.

Johnnie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Sharon Hoke Fluitt of Havre de Grace, MD; son, Kevin L. Fluitt of Havre de Grace; daughter, Kim F. Fluitt of Aberdeen, MD; sister, Ruth Stafford and husband, Thomas of Jacksonville, FL; and grandchildren, Kathleen Charlotte and Quinton Johnnie Robert Fluitt of Perry Hall, MD; Maya Emanuelle DeSouza of Aberdeen, MD; father-in-law Tevis Hoke of Havre de Grace, MD; sister-in-laws Cleo Hoke of Havre de Grace, MD; and Mary Fluitt of Cleavland Heights, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John E. Fluitt and step-father, Henry "Buck" Eddie Kimble Jr.
