Johnnie Manzari Sr.

Johnnie Manzari Sr., age 81, of White Marsh, MD, died on October 28, 2008 at his son's home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Angelo and Mary Manzari and husband of the late Gloria Sally Manzari. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he owned and operated Johnnie's Upholstery Shop in Havre de Grace, MD from 1964-2002. An avid mechanic, he enjoyed working with specialized custom upholstery in show cars. He enjoyed motorcycles and liked to race boats and go-carts. He enjoyed flying as a pilot and soloed when he was 62 years old. He built and flew model airplanes and also rebuilt boats and cars.

Mr. Manzari is survived by three sons, John Manzari Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Russ Manzari of White Marsh, MD, and Dan Manzari of Forest Hill, MD; three brothers, Mike Manzari, Tom Manzari, and Angelo Manzari Jr., all of Essex, MD; two sisters, Nellie Pastore of Rosedale, MD and Josephine Manzari of Joppatowne, MD; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
