Johnnie H. Day

JOHNNIE H. DAY, age 80, of Edgewood, MD, died on December 10, 2007 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Brownwood, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Richard Filmore Day and the late Bina Wilcox Day. A Harford County resident since 1948, he retired from Martin Aircraft Company after 20 years. He later worked for the Harford County Board of Education for 14 years. A devoted Christian, he was a past member of Bel Forest Baptist Church and a member at Calvary Baptist Church in Bel Air where he attended Sunday school. He took great care of his lawn and enjoyed gardening, especially raising tomatoes which he distributed to family and friends. His grandson, Noah, was the love of his life.

Mr. Day is survived by his wife of 40 years, Evelyn Laura Royal Day of Edgewood, MD; one son, Tony H. Day and his wife, Sabrina, of Aberdeen, MD; two sisters, Elsie Lizear of Joppa, MD and Louise Beavers of Edgewood, MD; and one grandson, Noah Day of Bel Air, MD.
