John William Watters Sr.

John William Watters Sr., age 79, of Jarrettsville, MD, died on December 21, 2010 at his home. Born in Bel Air, MD, he was the son of the late Richard Wilson and Lillian Thomas Watters. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he worked for the town of Bel Air Public Works as a shop foreman. He was a longtime member of William Watters United Methodist Church in Cooptown, loved fixing things and working with his neighbor and friend, on solving things, and enjoyed hunting and trap shooting.

Mr. Watters is survived by his wife, Beulah A. (Bonnie) Watters of Jarrettsville, MD; sons, John William Watters Jr. of Ft. Huachuca, AZ and Richard Tilghman Watters of Abingdon, MD; brothers, Richard W. Watters Jr., Thomas W. Watters Sr. and Lloyd W. Watters Sr., all of Forest Hill, MD and Larry E. Watters of Ghana, Africa; sisters, Rebecca Watters and Ella Smith, both of Bel Air, MD; and two grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Mable Smith.
