John W. Turner, age 58, of Bel Air, MD, died on June 19, 2010 at his home. Born in Camden, NJ, he was the son of John Frank and Dorothea Katherine Graf Turner of Mount Airy, MD. He graduated from Great Mills High School in St. Mary's County. MD, and University of Maryland in College Park. He was a member of the University of Maryland Marching and Concert Bands, Kappa Kappa Psi (National Honorary College Band Fraternity), Phi Delta Theta fraternity, and Thomas Point (Annapolis) Flotilla of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a member of Bel Air and Deer Creek Jaycees. John believed that "...service to humanity is the best work of life!" He was also a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Bel Air, MD.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Elisabeth Dieterich Turner of Bel Air, MD; sons, Christopher D. and Michael J. Turner, both of Bel Air, MD; brother, Ron Turner and wife, Valerie LaHoud, of Damascus, MD; and nephew, Max Turner of Damascus, MD.
