John V. Kain

John V. Kain, age 63, recently of Bel Air, MD passed away on November 15, 2017 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, MD. Born in New Rochelle, NY, he was the son of John William and Janet Marie (Houlihan) Kain. He worked as the Golf Course Superintendent at Black Rock Golf Course in Hagerstown for 27 years.

Mr. Kain is survived by his wife of 32 years, Nancylee Kain; his sons, Jeremy (Mara) Read and Timothy (Nicole) Read; his daughter, Rebecca (Christopher) Bolton; his grandchildren, Sophie, Pierce, Alice and Aubrey Read; his sisters, Victoria Fretwell, Sara Jeanne Sale and Jan-Marie Kain; his brothers, Brian Kain and Christopher Kain; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Stanley Zysk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Kain.

Donations may be made in Mr. Kain’s memory to Unbound (unbound.org), a Catholic organization through which Mr. and Mrs. Kain have sponsored a child and his family for many years.
