John Thomas Brennan, age 78, of Bel Air, MD, died September 24, 2011, at Gilchrist Hospice. He was born in Cumberland, MD, son of the late Thomas H. and Bernadine Boyer Brennan. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Urban. He was the husband of 54 years to Kreugh Eichelberger Brennan. Tom was a United States Navy veteran, having served aboard the USS Robert L. Wilson, DDE. He began his civilian career at Martin Marietta, working on the Gemini project. He moved to Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edgewood, where he worked for over forty years until his retirement.
He is survived by his children: sons; Thomas A. Brennan and Michael A. Brennan and wife, Barbara, both of Forest Hill, MD, daughters; Elizabeth B. Meyer and husband, George, of Hanover, PA, and Jennifer B. Cowan and husband, Joseph, of Bel Air, MD. He was the beloved grandfather of Jennifer E. Meyer, Laura A. Meyer, Megan E. Cowan, Sarah K. Cowan, and Thomas J. Cowan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
