John Raymond Dushel, age 52, of Joppa, MD, died on April 18, 2011 at home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he is the son of Leroy Joseph and Frances Emma Reick Dushel of Joppatowne, MD. He grew up in Dundalk and in 1976 he married Wanda Lee Martinski Dushel after which time they moved to Harford County. He started working at Embassy Dairy and transferred to what is now known as Dreyers Ice Cream, at which he was still employed after 25 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping, being outdoors, doing yardwork, music, computers, and taking pictures. He was like a jack of all trades, and had a generous and kind spirit.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his daughters, Karissa Lynn Dushel and April Leann Hunt and husband, Larry, all of Joppa, MD; brother, Michael Melvin Dushel and wife, Deborah, of Dundalk, MD; sisters, Kathleen Laura Smith of Dundalk, MD and Lindalee Helen Dushel of Joppa, MD; grandchildren, Serena Corinne Dushel and Haylee Brianna Hunt, both of Joppa; nieces, Cynthia and Rhonda VanHoy, Tiffany Dushel-Greenwood, Michelle Bangs, Crystal Smith, Shannon and Kaysie Martinski, and Melinda McEachern; and nephews, Joey and Todd VanHoy, Shane, and Michael Dushel. He was predeceased by his brother, Leroy Joseph Dushel Jr..
