John Ralph Jones Sr.

John Ralph Jones Sr., age 63, of Havre de Grace, MD, died on March 13, 2009 in Aberdeen. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Carl Henry Jones and Dorothy Claribell Cathell Crum. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had worked for IKEA Distributorship.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Margaret Johnson Jones of Havre de Grace, MD; son, John "Jay" Ralph Jones Jr. of Baltimore, MD; daughters, Melanie Faith Collett of York, PA and Shannon Renee Schmitt and husband Sam, of Aberdeen, MD; step children, Donald R. Johnson II and wife Ashley L., of Havre de Grace, MD, Heather M. Johnson of Aberdeen, MD and Rebecca "Becky" Johnson of Havre de Grace, MD; brothers, Carl Stephen Jones and wife Nettie, of Dundalk, MD, Robert Lee Jones of New Mexico, Rev. Thomas Dale Jones and wife Carol, of Virginia and Frederick W. Jones and wife Jackie, of Baltimore, MD; sisters, Dorothy Lucille Harris and husband Geoffery, of Salisbury, MD and Bonnie Ellen Cook of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren, Brandon Jones, Zachary, Austin, Gabby, Seth and Daisy Schmitt; step grandchildren, Devan and Alyssa Johnson, Adam Cullum and Stephen Vass, Jr.; and best friend Herman Brunswick.
