John R. Christopher

JOHN R. CHRISTOPHER, age 36, of Pampa, Texas, died on July 15, 2005. Born on December 11, 1968 in Havre de Grace, he was the son of Dr. Robert Lewis Christopher and his wife, Vicki Christopher, of Havre de Grace and Dr. Sandra Lee Rhodes Wallis and her husband, W. Robert Wallis of Bel Air. He graduated from Bel Air High School in 1986. He attended the U.S. Air Force Academy, University of Maryland College Park and the University of Hawaii. He served in the U.S. Army for ten years. While in the military he participated in three U.N. Peacekeeping Deployments in Haiti, Kuwait, and Bosnia. He left the military to pursue a career as a technology specialist. He was responsible for establishing voice over internet communication in India and Bolivia. In 2003 he moved with his family to Pampa, Texas where he started his own business. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Pampa, Texas and a former member of the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in Bel Air.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Christopher is survived by his wife, Michele Wallace Christopher; two sons, Hall Christopher and Greyson Christopher both of Pampa, Texas; brothers, David Christopher of Baltimore and Michael Christopher of Boston, Massachusetts; step-brothers, David M. Wallis of Fallston, Patrick M. Wallis and Douglas Wallis both of Bel Air, Philip Wallis of Ronda, NC; step-sister, Deborah Harward of Westminster; and grandfather, Robert T. Christopher of Chestertown, MD. He was predeceased by one son, William Thomas Christopher in 2000 and grandparents, Alverta and Lawrence Rhodes and Gloria Christopher.
