John Michael Kirk

March 8, 1950 — September 7, 2013

John Michael Kirk, age 63, of Port Deposit, MD passed away on September 7, 2013 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he is the son of Anna Lou Lambert Kirk of Pylesville and the late John Richard Kirk. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during the Vietnam War. A graduate of Bel Air High School, class of 1968, he was the owner of J.M. Kirk Electric and also worked at Harford Community College as a maintenance technician. He was a lifetime member of Vietnam Veterans of America, American Legion in Perryville and VFW in Dublin.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Kirk is survived by his wife, Jennifer A. Kirk; step son, Brian N. Herbert of Rincon, GA; brothers, Steven R. Kirk of Pylesville and Daniel S. Kirk of Bel Air; grandchildren, Ayla Marie Herbert of Rincon, GA and Shawna Marie Brewer of Colora; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his stepson, Matthew I. Herbert.
