John M. Cornett

John M. Cornett, age 79, of Darlington, MD passed away on June 13, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Independence, VA, he is the son of the late James Mack Cornett and Annie Rudford Stone. A hardworking farmer, he loved to dance and listen to Bluegrass music.

Mr. Cornett is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna P. Cole Cornett; sons, Dean Cornett, Johnny M. Cornett, Bobby R. Cornett and Mike J. Cornett Sr. and his wife, Lisa, all of Darlington; daughters, Shirley A. Yeager of Street, Kathy Evans of Rising Sun and Judy C. Cornett of Bel Air; brother, Lawrence Cornett of Independence, VA; sister, Mozel Tilley of Elkton, NC; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Ronnie Cornett and grandson, John David Meyer Jr.
