JOHN LOUIS ENEY age 78, of Joppatowne, died on October 27, 2005 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Baltimore.
Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Clarence Edwin and Gertrude Arlis Spurrier Eney. He was the owner-operator of custom glass and canvas companies including Bel Air Glass and Trim and a canvas business on Kent Island, MD. Mr. Eney served in the US Navy during WWII, and enjoyed fishing, boating and being with his family and grandchildren. He was a member of the Baltimore Yacht Club and was a Past Commodore of the Maryland Yacht Club.
Mr. Eney is survived by his wife of 22 years, Shirley Elizabeth Eney; two daughters, Trudy E. Newby, and her husband James E. Newby of Port Deposit, and Joann L. Waltman, and her husband David R. Waltman of Conowingo; two stepdaughters: Kathleen M. Julio and her husband Vince Julio of Sparks and Bonnie Jo Cogswell, and her husband Willy Cogswell of Hagerstown; four grandchildren: Lance Newby of Conowingo, Kerri S. Newby of Port Deposit, Bobbi-Jo Gross and Robby J. Gross, both of Port Deposit; ten step grandchildren, Michael D. Waltman of Perry Hall, Michele L. Barnes of Finksburg, Henry C. Julio, Christina C.M. Julio, Vinny C. Julio, Kathleen E. Julio, and Rachel M. Julio, all of Sparks, Nicole Cogswell, Jimmy Cogswell, and Tommy Cogswell, all of Hagerstown; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Hueg, and a granddaughter, Kelli R. Newby.
