John Louis Dyson, age 85, of Jarrettsville, MD passed away on July 25, 2014 at his daughter's home. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late John Able and Janie Catherine Thompson Dyson and husband of the late Genevieve M. Dyson. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country in the Korean War. Originally from St. Mary's County, he moved to Jarrettsville in 1978 and worked at Western Electric Company as a machinist for 30 years. He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, were he was a part of the woodworking team, and a member of the Pioneers Club. He enjoyed woodworking projects for his family and reading the newspaper.
Mr. Dyson is survived by his sons, Michael L. Dyson and his wife, Jane, of Chapel Hill, NC, Timothy R. Dyson and his wife, Marea, of Berlin, John W. "Jack" Dyson of Piedmont AL, and Joseph E. Dyson and his partner, Tim Akers, of Jarrettsville; daughters, Jamesmarie (Jamey) Bachman and husband, Charles, of Fallston and Patricia M. Ricks and husband, Steve, of White Hall; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Dyson, Timothy Dyson, Charles Bachman Sr., Charles Bachman Jr., John Bachman, Andy Bachman, Steven Ricks, and Quentin Dyson.
