JOHN L. MILLER, age 82, of Bel Air, died on August 12, 2008 at his home. Born in North Wilkesboro, NC, he was the son of the late James Sidney and Fannie Reid Miller. Mr. Miller was an electro plater for Martin Marietta, from which he retired, before working at the Aegis for 10 years. He was a singer for the country band The Sunset Ramblers of Lewiston, ID and was also a DJ for the radio station KRLC of Lewiston, ID. An avid baseball and football fan, he also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and friends.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances Wilson Miller of Bel Air, MD; two sons, Douglas W. Miller Sr. of Perryville, MD and James C. Miller Sr. of Bel Air, MD; two daughters, Kay Kirby of Kannapolis, NC and Donna L. Tracy of Bel Air, MD; two brothers, Griss Miller of Millers Creek, NC and Jack Miller of Winter Haven, FL; five sisters, Nell Bare of Winston Salem, NC, Doris Pierce of Millers Creek, NC, Williebelle Little of Kannapolis, NC, Sally Wingler of Nashville, TN and Nina Johnson of Sonoma, CA; thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, John L. Miller Jr.; two brothers, Benjamin Miller and Wintfred Miller; and a sister Claire Bullard.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey D. Lacroix, Jonathan M. Lacroix, Joseph R. Lacroix, Christopher Miller, Douglas W. Miller Jr., James C. Miller Jr. and Kevin Miller.
