John Joseph DiLutis Sr., age 75, of Bel Air, MD passed away on December 8, 2016, surrounded by his family at Gilchrist Hospice at GBMC in Towson, MD. He was born in Baltimore, MD to John Giovanni and Rose DiLutis and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Fifth Regiment Army National Guard for 35 years. As a bugler for the past 15 years John provided honors to hundreds of deceased veterans. He worked for 35 years in the U.S. Postal Service, was one of the co-founders of the Harford Vello Club, and a member of the Chesapeake Spokes as a long distance bike rider. As a cyclist he overcame the "Assault on Mount Mitchell", in South Carolina 26 times. He enjoyed running and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalie Anna DiLutis; son, Robert DiLutis and daughter-in-law Patti Doyen; daughter, Rhonda Walton; and grandchildren, Olivia Cooper Walton and Harper Rose Walton. He was predeceased by his son, John J. DiLutis Jr.
