John ''Jack'' F. Fleckenstein

September 27, 1938 — January 23, 2010

John "Jack" F. Fleckenstein, age 71, of Bel Air, MD, died on January 23, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John Joseph and Agnes Margaret Wanger Fleckenstein. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he had worked as a draftsman for Bethlehem Steel, retiring after 27 years. An avid runner, he was a member of the RASAC and BRRC running clubs. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and enjoyed boating, swimming, drag racing, and participated in the Harford County Senior Olympics.

Mr. Fleckenstein is survived by his wife of 40 years, Geraldine A. Sands Fleckenstein of Bel Air, MD; son, Joseph Thomas Fleckenstein of Havre de Grace, MD; daughter, Christine Mary Fleckenstein of Aberdeen, MD; brother, Paul A. Fleckenstein Sr. of Baltimore, MD; sister, Rosemary Wilz of Baltimore, MD; granddaughter, Kaitlyn McGonigal of Aberdeen, MD, and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joe T. Fleckenstein, Paul A. Fleckenstein Sr., Richard A. Sands, Thomas J. Sands, David N. Archer, and Bernie Gemmel.
